Just outside Hobhouse, right on the Caledon river this family farm is probably one of the most picturesque wedding venues I’ve been privileged enough to take photos at.
It’s difficult to capture the essence of this place in a couple of photos, you have to be there to experience the texture and smell of the woodlands and the old mill.
Here are a few highlights.

2nd(sorry, 3rd) E-session done today.
Adeline and Leon are getting married March 2010 at Monte Bello just outside Bloem, a lovely location with lots of expansion currently being done.
I realized the value of e-sessions again today! The first couple I ever had for an e-session was Lee & Roan and it was very noticeable how much more comfortable they where on their wedding day. Much of the 'unknown' is taken out of the equation and the couple can just relax and enjoy the moment and it is exactly that which helps make better pictures. The e-sessions are great ice breakers and highly recommended!
Adeline & Leon were a lovely couple to photograph and I'm looking forward to great wedding pics.

Lee & Roan Wedding

Picking a few photos for this post seemed nearly impossible, I normally stick to 15, but this time it's simply not going to happen.
Lee & Roan got married in Rosendal this Saturday and on my way home, discovering my wallet missing before filling up in Senekal wasn't the only reason this wedding will go in the record books as one of the most memorable.
Perhaps it was the romantic setting, or the Oom (never got his name) I chatted with, himself a professional photographer all his life using Hasselblad, probably the best and most expensive cameras available. More than anything and most certainly, it was the delightful couple and their close nit family that added all the needed warmth to an otherwise chilly day.
Lee & Roan, thanks for entrusting me with the responsibility, I had a great time and hope you will be happy with the results. O, and extremely relieved, I found my wallet back at Inglesby guesthouse.

I have to confess that putting names to faces is unquestionably not one of my best talents, and if you really want to challenge me and get me all boggle eyed and ready to ditch the camera to make a bee line for it, throw in 2 couples with names Jan, Johan, Johandi and Cindy.
Johan was Jan and Jan was almost Johandi a couple of times and for some reason I was convinced that Cindy would sound better with a J.
Nonetheless, many smiles later and we have a couple of photos which I hope JJJ&C are happy with.
Thanks for the experience ladies and gents hope you enjoyed your evening.
