We had our first engagement session this weekend and was it exciting + allot of fun!
Janine and Ed, the two of you where very stylish on Saturday and we are going to pull out all the stops to make the best of your wedding photos.
Janine and Edward are getting married at Sandstone Sleeper Estate on 24 October '09.
I ran a couple of not so 'traditional' ideas by Janine for her bridal shots and she is very keen, so check the blog on the 27th of October '09 for a little sneak preview of their wedding photos.

The Orange River wine route consists of five wineries situated at Groblershoop, Grootdrink, Upington, Kakamas and Keimoes. Some of the best wines and grape juice come from this harsh region of South Africa, the climate is ideal to grow some of our country's finest export grapes and what better then to use for some of our finest wines.
Now I’m not that big on wine, give me a bit of Jack Daniels and we will be friends forever, but the people of this region is what you have to experience personally. For me, it is impossible to explain the rawness of their culture and they own a version of Afrikaans which is as unique to them as their setting.
This weekend I had the great opportunity to photograph a small community in Grootdrink. My first encounter started off by explaining that the camera isn’t a ‘skiet ding’ but in fact a camera, once that was out of the way I had ‘models’ streaming in left right and center and with a pose directing crowd bumping and shouting behind me we had a big photo shoot right there in the middle of the road.
I wanted to get closer to their homes and intimate environment though and asked if we could move to the houses to take some more photos there, with no protest we jumped the fence and the rest is history.
It was truly a great experience, next objective is to get inside their homes and experience even more of who they are.
